Lisa as a Commissioner

Lisa Paolino has worked tirelessly and effectively on behalf of our fine community always pledging to uphold and improve the quality of life. As guardian of your tax dollars, Lisa has been proactive with open space acquisitions, controlled development and protection of private property rights. Lisa is committed to preserving the environment, our natural resources, supporting public safety/ first responders, traffic mitigation, storm water management and road improvements. Over her nine year tenure she has proven to be fiscally responsible and a competent Vice President with a fine record of accountable leadership. Lisa is a strong proponent of open, transparent, all-inclusive and participatory government. In the past year she maintained strict oversight of the sale of the 37 acre American College property and welcomed Akiba Hebrew Academy and the Jewish Federation of Philadelphia as her new neighbors. Working with the Federation she was able to save the property from the development of over 300 condominiums. Akiba will open in the fall as the Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy bringing the rich heritage of the Jewish Community to Radnor.

Lisa Paolino is currently in her 9th year of providing proven, effective leadership to Radnor serving as Board Vice-President since 2003. She holds a few firsts for Radnor Township being the First Woman ever elected to serve as Commissioner and the first to hold an Executive Board position in history of Radnor Township. She is known to be proactive, responsive and always accessible. Her goal has always been to work towards improving the Quality of Life for all Residents.

Professionally, Lisa has almost 20 years of professional business experience in executive capacities for Publicly traded corporations in the Environmental and Homeland/Personal Security Sector. She continues to perform Marketing Consulting services for a variety of entertainment and Internet based organizations.

As a Commissioner she took the leadership role in drafting the Student Rental Housing Ordinance, Towing Ordinance and Inter-Municipal Liquor License Transfer Ordinances. She contributed to the Implementation of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, Open Space Plan and formation of Township Signage program for"Welcome to Radnor" enhancements and the drafting of the ordinance addressing the placement of Cellular towers within the community. Lisa has been able to obtain numerous grants for various projects within the Township and worked with PennDOT to install the first sound-barrier retrofit in the history of the State along Route 476 which helped eliminate the noise and pollution that was created from the portion of the highway that was neglected when initially constructed many years ago.

Lisa Paolino has been working successfully with PennDOT, SEPTA, AMTRAK, PECO and major Educational Institutions to hold them accountable for maintaining and improving their infrastructure and systems within Radnor. She was instrumental in the formation of the Open Space Committee serving as a member since their inception. Lisa encouraged Board support for the formation of the Radnor Conservancy and approval of the Open Space Bond Referendum. She is determined to follow the Comprehensive Open Space Plan for the township which is designed to facilitate the identification, evaluation and prudent acquisition of open space while also encouraging the use of conservation easements.

Lisa Paolino is a proven, dedicated public servant with an outstanding record of accomplishments in one of the most complex and diverse communities in Southeaster Pennsylvania. She is qualified, determined and committed to helping others. Lisa is a graduate of Villanova University and Cardinal O'Hara High School and the mother of two children, Michael (21) and Gabrielle (17). Lisa currently serves as Vice-Chair of the American Red Cross Board of Directors SEPA Delaware County and the Board of Directors Wayne Art Center.
